Trencianske Teplice

The bathing town of Trenčianske Teplice lies in the southwest of the Strážov Hills and is flanked by two distinctive ridges - Grófovec (557 m above sea level) in the north and Klepáč (575 m above sea level) in the south. Trenčianske Teplice was first mentioned as a spa in the 13th century. The Ilésházy family, to whom the spa belonged for 241 years, had the greatest merit for the development of the spa. At that time, the spa was one of the most important in Austria-Hungary.

Today, Trenčianske Teplice is an ideal oasis for all those who want to heal and regenerate in one of the healing springs or in the wellness centre.
Every year, an international film festival, a music summer, a food festival, horse riding races or the Karel Čapek Award ceremony are held here.
