Opatovská cave in Skalka nad Váhom

The journey from Ranch 13 to Opatovská Cave takes approximately 36 minutes by bicycle, with a long route of 10.3km, through beautiful cycle paths along the Váh River. If you're not a fan of cycling, you can also get there by car, which takes about 15 minutes.

Opatovská jaskyňa is a real gem of Skalka nad Váhom. This cave was discovered in the Middle Ages and still fascinates with its mysterious atmosphere and historical significance. The cave was originally used by monks, who found refuge and a place for meditation here. Its interior is filled with stalactites and stalagmites that create miraculous natural scenery.
One of the legendary stories tells of a monk who got lost in the depths of the cave and found his way out only thanks to his unwavering spirit and prayers. His story and many others make this cave a place where history and mysticism intertwine.

St. Benedict's Pilgrim Church. At the entrance to the cave is the Pilgrim Church of St. Benedict. This small but historically rich church is the site of annual pilgrimages and religious events. The interior of the church is decorated with beautiful frescoes and antique altars that give the place a sacred atmosphere.
